Western Europe Cruises - Holiday Destination

A cruise in Western Europe is a great way in which to take in the sights and sounds of countries like France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

Bordeaux has been an official UNESCO World Heritage site since 2007 in reflection of its distinctive architecture which makes it "an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble" of the 18th century. The region is also the producer of Bordeaux wine such as Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, Chateau Margaux and Chateau Latour.

In all cities visited on a Western European cruise, there are ample opportunities to visit art galleries and museums as well as restaurants and street side cafes whether sailing through Spain or Portugal.

Circumnavigating the coast of Portugal, you will call in at the harbours of Praia Da Rocha, Leixoes and Lisbon, situated on the north banks of the River Tagus.

A charming and charismatic city, Lisbon is riddled with renovated palaces, old churches and even a striking castle. For culture, Lisbon offers a selection of museums of ancient and modern art, such as Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, the National Museum of Contemporary Art and Carmo Archaeological Museum.
