Cruise holiday company Celebrity has announced it will celebrate its tenth birthday in style, by offering passengers the chance to see a winter wonderland.
The cruise specialist has announced it will set sail for its first ever trip to the white continent known as Antarctica on January 31st for a two-week tour, with a second trip planned for lovebirds on February 14th 2010, cruisecritic.co.uk reports.
Departing from Buenos Aires, the Celebrity Infinity holiday cruise ship will stop at Port Stanley, the Falkland Islands, Argentina and Uruguay en route to Antarctica, affording passengers an eclectic mix of travel experiences not to be missed.
Of course, given the ice-covered continent’s notoriously chilly reception for visitors, passengers will not be able to actually set foot on snow.
However, each cruise is guaranteed to spend a minimum of three days exploring the awe-inspiring sight, the website states.
Celebrity Cruises was established in 1989 and merged with Royal Caribbean International in 1997 to create Royal Caribbean Cruises, which has a total of 29 ships in its fleet.
Virgin Holidays Cruises are leader's in cruise & stay holidays to the Caribbean, Mediterranean and more destinations world wide.
