Princess Cruises is looking to shake-up its shore excursion offerings this summer in Europe after it announced an additional 110 options to its existing lineup of 849 onshore adventures in Europe.
Among the offerings are rooftops tours of Stockholm and pasta parties in Etruscan Italy. Passengers can also partake in self-guided walking tours with the use of an iPod.
Cruisers can conveniently explore a city of their choice - such as Barcelona, Cannes, Dubrovnik, Florence or Lisbon - with a pre-loaded iPod and customized map while they listen to a narration about the key points of interest in the area.
"There are some exciting new choices, with fun options for so many kinds of passengers, whether they’re active travellers, explorers, sports fans, kids or gourmets," said Jan Swartz, senior vice-president at Princess Cruises.
The Hunt for Treasure in Dubrovnik and Naples is an exciting and competitive option for passengers, as they can explore the cities deciphering clues and following directions as they search for hidden treasure.
