Never The Same Meal Twice With Celebrity Cruises
Monday, July 14th, 2008
Celebrity Cruises has upgraded its menus across its fleet, providing passengers on 14-night cruises with the luxury of never having to choose from the same menu twice.
The enhancements to its dining service are part of the cruise line’s Celebrity’s Star Treatment programme and include 200 new menu offerings, an upgraded casual dining area and a new brunch option.
Visual enhancements include improved signage and equipment, the replacement of ice with chilled river rocks upon which rest hundreds of new menu items and destination-influenced cuisine.
Another change has been made to the once-per-cruise gala buffet that took place at midnight.
This has been replaced with a brunch feast featuring carved ice, fruit and vegetable sculptures, cheese platters, fresh fruit and smoothies, cold cuts, eggs, pizzas, wraps, paninis, seafood and sushi.
"Our guests loved viewing the elaborate creations we presented at the midnight gala buffet, but very few wanted to actually eat that late. Now, we still proudly present our culinary team’s great artistry, but at a time when our guests can thoroughly enjoy it," commented vice-president of food and beverage operations Jacques Van Staden.
