NCL To Open Ice Bar
Thursday, June 26th, 2008
Cruising is about to take on a whole new dimension, after Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) announced plans to build the world’s fist ‘ice bar’ at sea.
Passengers will be provided with warm clothing and invited to unwind against a backdrop of ice sculptures and sparkling LED lighting.
NCL also announced plans to include a number of other themed bars of its new F3 ships, including a VIP Halo bar, POSH Beach Club and Spice H2O - which will feature Asian-inspired décor, food and music.
Stephen Park, NCL UK general manager, commented: "Every experience on board will be unique. F3 won’t have massive void spaces and rooms used just for one activity, these venues have multiple uses for sunbathing, bowling and dining, as well as being party playgrounds."
NCL currently offers trips to dozens of destinations worldwide, including Hawaii, Bermuda and Alaska, with ships including the Norwegian Dream, Norwegian Spirit and Pride of America.
