Enjoy The Sea Air With Celebrity Cruises

Holidaymakers travelling with Celebrity Cruises will soon be able to enjoy nothing but fresh sea air, as the company announced its intention to implement stricter smoking regulations onboard its cruise ships.

As of October 1st 2008, guests onboard ships sailing under the Celebrity Cruises banner will be unable to smoke in staterooms or on stateroom verandas.

The number of public areas in which smoking is permitted for guests onboard cruise liners will also be reduced in accordance with the new policy.

"We are proud to be the first premium cruise line to set a new standard toward creating an environment of cleaner air on our ships," president of Celebrity Cruises Dan Hanrahan commented.

Celebrity Galaxy, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Mercury, Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Century, Celebrity Millennium Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox will all implement the policy, which was established following a poll of Celebrity Cruises’ guests.
